Police escorted ride through North Georgia from Buford to Conyers. This memorial ride supports the families of police officers slain in the line of duty and is sponsored by Blue Knights XVI, C.O.P.S. and the Georgia Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates. The ride begins at Frazier's Harley-Davidson in Buford and ends at Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson in Conyers. Stay for live music, food and beverages (nominal fee), vendors, sales and raffles! In 2011, there were 173 federal, state and local law enforcement officer deaths during the calendar year 2011 as presented by the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund. This repesents an increase of 42% since 2009 and marks an alarming trend of increased line of duty deaths among law enforcement officers. In the wake of these tragedies, C.O.P.S. provides resources to help surviving family members rebuild their shattered lives.
